We started this website as a result of our own experiences of trips to campsites and festivals. The toilet facilities provided by campsite owners and festival promoters were often pretty dire. We wondered whether we could find a better solution.
It was that thought that has driven the construction of the Camping Loo website. We’ve aimed to bring together a selection of camping toilets and other products that are aimed at creating a far more pleasant camping experience.
At the heart of our product range is the fantastic BioToi, which you may well have heard about. It’s received a large amount of publicity, including an appearing on The Gadget Show here in the UK. So what makes it so great?
The reason why we sell the BioToi is because this is a product that we really believe in. As an environmentally friendly camping toilet it has an enormous amount to offer. For those of us who don’t like the thought of using chemical toilets, here is a solution that allows us to have hygienic toilet facilities, still safe in the knowledge that we are not harming the environment or our surroundings.

Yes! It is very portable, and folds down to a convenient size that makes it easy and discrete to carry around.
How heavy is the camping toilet fold?
The folding camping toilet weighs in at less than 2kg or about 4lb8oz.
What are the dimensions of the toilet when folded?
The folded dimensions are: 50cm x 34cm x 10cm.
How high off the ground is the seat?
The seat of the toilet is about 43cm off the ground.
How easy to clean is to it?
The toilet uses a fresh clean bag every time, so it never gets soiled.
Do I have to replace the bag after each use?
Yes! A clean bag after every use is recommended, this will stop your tent/van from smelling.
What do I do with a used bag?
You should dispose of the bag properly. Every festival, rally or campsite will have bins for you to use.
Has the loo been weight tested?
Yes, it has been designed to NATO standards and the stress test that was performed was 180 kg under pressure for 5 hours. However, if the toilet is on concrete and a 75kg person jumps on it, it will break.
What if the loo is dropped?
The loo was drop tested to a height of 1.5 meters onto a concrete floor.
Will it work in the cold?
The folding toilet was tested down to -20 C
